A Pixel Art Portal Thriller
PIXEL ART COMICS from OCTOBER 2020
For the usual October drawing challenge “Blocktober” ( a pixel art take on Inktober), I decided to try doing a web comic. I couldn’t do 31 different comics, so some comics are spread between 2-5 days. I’ve always wanted to make comics, and I’ve made a few issues, but pixel art is something I can actually do as opposed to traditionally drawn comics. Enjoy!
Day 1 - Suspicious
A love story inspired by “Among Us,” the sleeper hit multiplayer game of late 2020.
Day 2-3 - Landfall/Wander
In the summer of 2020 I gave No Man’s Sky another go, and I’ve loved every bit of exploring a weird chill universe.
Day 5 - Toxic Forest
Another #inktoberworlds2020 prompt. I’ve been playing around with soldiers or wanting to do something with Doom Guy and Master Chief, but instead we have Mumbles and Dupe here to goof around with.
In my head canon, I’d like to show a life where Doom Guy and his pet rabbit Daisy have adventures together…slaughtering the minions of hell.
Day 6 & 7 - Daisy/Mornings
I wanted to draw more spaceships and had a little fun with it.
Day 8 & 9 - Jump/Trap
This one was inspired by the recent release of new characters to the MK11 roster. Garth Algar is my suggestion :D
Day 10, 11, 12 & 13 -
Kombatant/Rope/Shocking/Friendship
InktoberWorlds prompt that turned into something silly.
Day 15 & 16 - Moon Girl/Rebirth
Taking a break from space scenes to go back beneath the surface.
Day 17 & 18 - Under/Ingress
Inktober Worlds. I want to try more cyberpunk scenes, but I more so want to draw cats sometimes. Yes I’m a cat dad too.
Day 19 - Junkfood
Actually did this Terminator reference from a Botober prompt.
Day 20 - Llama of Doom
In the workshop, an inventor finishes the last piece of the epic robot.
Day 22 - Hardware
